District Philosophy of Inclusion
We are committed to inclusive education, where students are active members of the learning community and receive the supports they need to succeed. Inclusion focuses on equitable access, meaningful participation, and positive interactions - not just placement.
Specially funded education programs and services help ensure that students who require additional supports have equitable access to learning and can pursue their educational goals. The practice of inclusion is not necessarily synonymous with full integration in regular classrooms and goes beyond placement to include meaningful participation and promotion of integration with others. Universal and essential supports are also available to students.

POPARD is a Ministry of Education program providing services to schools in BC for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
