| What do EAs do? |
Provide students with social, emotional, personal, and academic support (click here for job description). Calmness, empathy and compassion are essential. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to student needs is crucial.

| Education Requirements |
Grade 12 graduation plus either an Education Assistant Certificate, OR education in the field of providing support to children, youth or adults such as early childhood education certificate, child/youth care worker certificate, health care assistant, or 1st year post-secondary with courses in human behaviour such as psychology and sociology.

| Pay and hours: |
Most EAs work 28 hours per week, on days school is in session
|

EAs are members of the CUPE Local 523 (click here to view the CUPE 523 Collective Agreement)

| How to apply: |
Follow our application guidelines (click here). Include proof of grade 12 graduation, post-secondary certificates and transcripts, supervisory references, resume, cover letter and application form. Applicants of interest are invited to complete a literacy assessment.
