Support Staff - Application Guidelines

We accept and review all application packages that are received. In hiring support staff, the district seeks candidates who are:
  • life-long learners - open to innovative ways and to learning new knowledge and skills,
  • able to communicate positively and effectively, and are collaborative and consultative team members,
  • respectful, self-motivated, self-aware, responsible, and value diversity,
  • flexible, adaptable and responsive to change,
  • eager to contribute to the positive culture of our schools and district.
Internal Applicants:  employees of SD53 are welcome to apply for postings by sending an email to [email protected] (list job number(s) in order of preference) or use our Application for Support Staff Posting and Bumping form (see link below) and drop off to the school board office.
External Applicants: to be considered for hire, include the following in your application package (application packages are kept on file for 1 year):
  • cover letter including job posting number
  • resume
  • support staff application form (see link to the right of this page)  
  • proof of education requirements (certificate and transcripts per job description qualifications)
  • three (3) supervisory references, provide name, position, phone numbers (phone references are usually initiated prior to an invitation for an interview)
