ROEs are submitted electronically: you can apply for EI anytime after your last day of work (it is not necessary to wait for your ROE to be submitted) and you do not need a printed copy of your ROE to apply for EI. View and/or print copies of your ROE online the same day the district submits it by going to your My Service Canada Account (My Service Canada Account web site). If you would like the district to mail you with a paper copy of your ROE,

Employment Insurance (EI)- Investigations: For your information on a random basis school districts are sent a request for earnings information to varify earning of EI claimants.Claimants can reduce the chance of an EI investigation by remembering that all earning must be reported to EI.
- For support staff, your weekly earnings include hours of work, and when it applies to your pay will include the following: holiday pay paid on every cheque, casual employee stat holiday pay paid on every cheque (4.2% of earnings), $0.75 per hour in lieu of benefits per Article 9:(c), and regular employee stats (i.e. Christmas, Boxing day, and New Years day). For teachers:
- TOCs must report benefit pay as earnings, teachers on temporary assignments must report SIP pay. Have questions? Contact payroll.
