At OES we believe in being:

Safe and Caring
Trustworthy and responsible
Inclusive and respectful
Neat and organized
Generous and giving
So we:

  • Do not touch others or their belongings
  • Tell the truth
  • Use acceptable and kind words and actions       
  • Come to school on time, prepared and ready to learn
  • Show respect for ourselves, others and for all property
  • Listen and follow staff instructions
  • Do our best in all class and school activities
  • Accept responsibility and consequences for our actions and fix our mistakes
  • Behave in a way that is not disruptive and allows students and teachers to do their jobs.
  • The mission of Oliver Elementary School is to enable learners to develop their potential within a caring and stimulating environment.
Oliver Elementary School promotes and values a learning and working environment of:
  • hands off, non-aggression, and no bullying (verbal and physical)
  • non-discrimination and mutual respect for individual differences
  • respect and safety for everyone
Consequences for students who violate the code of conduct include, but are not limited to, and dependent on age, maturity, and infraction:
  • warning
  • detention (recess, lunch, afterschool)
  • in or out of school suspension
  • parent notification and conference (if necessary)
  • school service
  • loss of privileges
  • restitution
