Southern Okanagan Secondary School


The staff, students and community of Southern Okanagan Secondary School strive to enable students, through excellence of teaching and learning, to develop their full potential to be responsible social beings.


Southern Okanagan Secondary School enrolls approximately 550 students in grades 8 through 12.  The school is on a semester system where students complete eight courses per year.  Most courses take 20 weeks.  All students take four courses per day.

Southern Okanagan Secondary School is proud of its emphasis on academic excellence and offers a wide and diverse range of elective courses.  The school provides a number of opportunities for students to become involved in extra curricular activities including basketball, field hockey, volleyball, fine arts, band and choir.

Similkameen Elementary Secondary School

The Similkameen Valley is British Columbia's best kept secret.
 
Similkameen Elementary Secondary School "Home of the Sparks" is the pride of the village of Keremeos.  Situated in the pristine Similkameen Valley, the school serves the communities of Cawston, Hedley, Keremeos, Olalla, and enrolls 395 students, from grades 5-12.

At the secondary level (Grades 8-12) we operate on a 2 x 4 Modified Semester Timetable.  Our students take 4 subjects a semester; 2 classes per day.

Our school gives our students a down-home personalized and caring educational experience.  Similkameen Elementary Secondary School has a full range of academic, career preparation, student support services, curricular and extra-curricular programs.  We take pride in our successes in all of these programs.









Osoyoos Secondary School

Situated on a bluff overlooking the town and Canada's warmest lake, Osoyoos Secondary School enrolls approximately 300 students.  

A wide variety of courses are offered enabling students the opportunity to develop the necessary skills, attitudes and understanding for personal growth and responsible citizenship.  The year is divided into four quarters and students complete eight courses per year, two per quarter.

We are very proud of the curricular programme at Osoyoos Secondary School.  Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in the extra-curricular programme which includes a very successful athletic programme.
